Packaging

The COLDCAM vision system enables automatic quality control of silk-screen printing, OPC (One Point Cut), and rings before ampoules reach the packaging area of the production line, ensuring final product conformity prior to dispatch.

The system incorporates two cameras:

• One camera dedicated to monitoring silk-screen printing repeatability, featuring OCR (Optical Character Recognition) capabilities to verify text, codes, and markings.
• A second camera responsible for checking the presence and dimensions of the OPC and/or rings.

For this application, a proprietary lighting set has been developed, designed to guarantee optimal contrast for image capture. Additionally, a specific lifting and rotating mechanism provides high stability and repeatability for image acquisition, even at high production speeds.

COLDCAM has been designed to work with all ampoule sizes defined by ISO standards, as well as any colour combination of glass and ink, minimising the adjustments required during format changes. In this way, the system provides effective, reliable, and simplified control of the final product, regardless of material composition or colour, guaranteeing compliance with quality specifications for silk-screen printing, OPC, and rings.
